Description

The Chinese Communist Party invited a group of democratic figures from Hong Kong to travel north for negotiations on the founding of the new nation. In February 1949, democratic figures who had arrived in the liberated areas posed for a group photo aboard the ship:

First row from left: Fang Rui (female), Zheng Xiaozhen (female), Bao Qiya (female);
Second row: Bao Dasan, Liu Yazi, Chen Shutong, Ma Yinchu;
